Gidley Wins, Takes Over Points Lead

Rolex Grand-Am series star and Muscle Milk extreme athlete, Memo Gidley, headed into this past weekend’s two-day Jet Effect race with three wins so far this year and standing in second place in the championship points tally.  However, after an overall win and nearly dominating performance this past weekend in round #8 of the 2009 DJSA Outlaw PWC Series Race, Memo now finds himself sitting with a sixty-point lead with three rounds left to run.

Gidley Debuts New “Muscle Milk” Helmet at Watkins Glen

Rolex Grand-Am series star, Memo Gidley, will be debuting his new Muscle Milk extreme athlete Bell Infusion helmet this weekend at the Crown Royal 200 at Watkins Glenn International Raceway. Memo is one of a number of elite Muscle Milk hand picked athletes that include Shaquille O’Neal, Adrian Peterson and Matt Reed, to name a few, that represent all forms of competition. 

Gidley Closes In On Points Lead At The “Widowmaker”

Rolex Grand-Am series star and Muscle Milk extreme athlete, Memo Gidley, headed into this past weekends “Widowmaker” race with a little apprehension about what to expect.  Not only was round #7 of the 2009 DJSA Outlaw PWC Series Race course run in the Suisun Harbor squeezed in between 10 ft concrete walls as usual, but this race was also a “night” race under the lights!

Adding to an already impressive list of race results during the 2009 season (including a 5th at VIR and 7th at New Jersey), the Doran Racing team and drivers Memo Gidley and Brad Jaeger teamed up to put the #77 McDonald’s/South African Airways Doran/Dallara Ford car on the second row of the starting grid – and bring it home in 8th place — at last weekend’s Porsche 250 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.

Gidley Poles, Finishes Third at Pro-Kart North Race #3

Factory Trackmagic Kart driver and Grand-Am Rolex Series star Memo Gidley, once again grabbed the pole in qualifying for Race #3 of the Pro Kart Challenge Series race this past weekend at Infineon Raceway. In an intense 7-minute qualifying session that saw the top 4 drivers go back and forth, Gidley edged out series point leader, Jacob Neal, by .013 of a second.
