Gidley signs with Team Sahlen for full 2011 ROLEX GT season

Memo Gidley will be the lead driver for Team Sahlen’s 2011 Campaign in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16.   Memo will be paired with long term Team Sahlen driver Wayne Nonnamaker in the #43 Team Sahlen Mazda RX-8. Two days ago at Barber Motorsports Park was the first time that either driver Memo Gidley or the Doran Racing team have tried out the new Continental Tires that the Daytona Prototypes will be running in next year’s Rolex Grand Am Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. In a perfect book end to the season, Team Sahlen finished in 7th place at the Season finale of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.  This matches up with the start to the season where Team Sahlen finished in 7th place at the season opening ROLEX 24 at Daytona.
