Gidley’s Stunning Onboard Rain Drive Video… From 11th to 1st in 8 laps!

Daytona in the rain

Muscle Milk Extreme Athlete, Memo Gidley, shows once again why he is one of the most talented drivers in any series with his incredible drive from 11th to 1st at the start of this year’s 24 Hours of Daytona GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 race this past January.

See how Memo drove by some of the best drivers on this planet while on his way to leading this prestigious Daytona 24 in the #77 McDonalds car.  Under horrific conditions that saw the first part of the race run under yellow, when the race finally went green, not even a malfunctioning windshield wiper could stop Memo’s incredible charge to the front.

“The feeling of being able to take the McDonalds car to the front in those conditions was awesome!” said Gidley. “I have always been a fan of the rain because it really allows the driver to make more of a difference in the car, and the challenge of balancing the race car on the edge of disaster when it is so slippery is a real thrill for me.  I hope everybody enjoys watching my in car as much as I liked driving it.”

The next race in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 is the Bosch Engineering 250 April 23rd-24th at Virginia International Raceway.  The race kicks off at 12:00 Saturday with full coverage on Speed starting at 2:00 pm EST on Saturday 4/24.
